Summit will feature genitourinary cancer experts

The summit will take place on Thursday, Nov. 29, from 5-9 p.m. at the Marriott Memphis East in Tennessee. Chairs of the summit include Daniel J. George, M.D., medical oncologist, Duke Hospital Cancer Institute, and Bradley G. Somer, M.D., associate professor, department of hematology and medical oncology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and medical oncologist; senior partner, executive cancer council; and head of strategic expansion/development, West Cancer Center.

This interactive and educational summit will discuss the treatment of patients with genitourinary cancers. Expert presenters will delve into the role of cytoreductive nephrectomy in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC), the role of adjuvant (TKI) in mRCC, the current and future roles of immunotherapy and TKIs in mRCC, management of treatment-related toxicities in mRCC, androgen therapy deprivation-associated cardiac complications, treatment of non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, metastatic castration-naïve prostate cancer and management of metastatic prostate cancer. The presenters will also engage in a peer exchange discussion and address audience questions.
