Just when it seemed that all venture capitalists were focused on later-stage companies, Steven Wardell declares that he is actively searching for early-stage companies in which to invest. Wardell is a principal at Apeiron Partners LLC, a Framingham-based life-science advisory firm, boutique investment bank and venture capital fund that is managing a fund called Z-Cube.
