New Strategy Allows Company to Sharpen Focus on OEM Pressure Sensing Technology
HOUSTON, Nov. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Millar Instruments, Inc., medical device manufacturer and OEM innovation partner, announced today that the company will end its distribution agreement with CD Leycom, manufacturer of the clinical Inca® Pressure-Volume (PV) Loop System, on December 31, 2018. Millar has been the exclusive distributor within North America for CD Leycom since November 2013. The CD Leycom Inca PV System supports an inspiring group of clinical innovators who strive to better understand heart failure and improve medical outcomes through in-depth hemodynamic analysis. The system is primarily utilized for clinical research to better understand cardiovascular function by analyzing over 50 physiological parameters. Millar has had the privilege of working alongside these influencer groups and has impacted the growth of clinical PV Loop awareness and adoption in the United States over the past 5 years. After many years of providing clinical PV products to its customers, Millar made the decision to exit this partnership with much difficulty. The company has the utmost confidence in the technology and that CD Leycom will continue to lead the way in integrating PV loops into routine procedures at Cardiovascular Centers of Excellence. Millar continues to direct substantial focus to the OEM division to support medical innovation through MEMS pressure sensor integration into medical devices. The company's vision is to have a greater impact on medical advancement by partnering with other innovative companies to bring MEMS pressure technology to a wider customer base. Patrick Sullivan, National Sales Manager at Millar, will transition to CD Leycom as their Director of Sales – North America. Patrick has been instrumental in growing the Inca System market in the United States and will provide a seamless transition for existing and prospective customers. About Millar, Inc. About CD Leycom
