EDMONTON, Alberta, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Medical Services International Inc. (OTC: MSITF - News) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its distribution network in the Caribbean. It has added two additional distributors, one on the island of St. Martin and another in the Dominican Republic. With the addition of these distributors, Medical Services is now represented on 8 islands in the Caribbean representing a base population of over 1.0 million people and a transient population of over 3.5 million people. It is anticipated that the islands will purchase in excess of 200,000 kits per year. Testing that has been completed in the Caribbean indicates that the incidence of HIV infection is in excess of 20%. There is a significant demand for an easy to use rapid test kit that can be used without the need of medical facilities or trained medical personnel. The kits for the Caribbean are being produced in the plant on the Island of Anguilla.
