For the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2005/2006 which ended December 31, 2005, LION bioscience AG reported a net loss of EUR 282,000. This compares to a loss of EUR 3.2 m in the same period of previous year. The total discontinued business achieved a positive result of EUR 13,000, compared to a loss of EUR 2.4 m in the same period of last fiscal year. The continuing operations reported a loss of EUR 295,000, compared to EUR -776,000 in the same period of the last fiscal year.
