Isogenica Limited Secure Funding From UK’s Technology Strategy Board to Develop Gene Library Synthesis Technology

CAMBRIDGE, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today 29th November 2012, Isogenica, Cambridge UK and Aston University, Birmingham UK secure funding from the Technology Strategy Board, the UK’s innovation agency, for a £0.5M project to develop a gene library assembly technology exclusively licensed to Isogenica. The funding enables Isogenica to develop a robust, automated manufacturing process for the commercial synthesis of ratio controlled gene libraries using a patent protected methodology invented by Dr Anna Hine and her team at Aston University. The capability to build high quality libraries has application in antibody, protein scaffold and peptide discovery, where high integrity libraries can be designed and built that will increase library diversity and maximise the probability of finding good quality leads.
