GlaxoSmithKline Chairman to Step Down in Two to Three Years

Christopher Gent is to stand down as chairman of pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline PLC GSK -0.11% , the Sunday Times reports.

Glaxo has appointed head hunters to find his replacement, the newspaper said. Mr. Gent is unlikely to leave soon, the paper added. One option would see him leave at the 2014 shareholder meeting. A spokesperson for GlaxoSmithKline wasn’t immediately available to comment.
