Delcath Systems Inc. has trimmed its workforce in Queensbury. The medical device manufacturer, which is based in New York City but has the bulk of its operations in Warren County, is saying little about the cuts. Delcath (Nasdaq: DCTH) officials would say only that “we’ve made some minor workforce adjustments in Queensbury to allocate our resources to match our 2013 needs globally.” At last count, the 24-year-old company—which makes a liver chemotherapy system called Chemostat—employed 60 people in two locations in Queensbury. Manufacturing takes place at 556 Queensbury Ave., while administrative and research activities are located at 2 Country Club Road. Two dozen of those people had been hired in the late 2011 and early 2012.
