Celleration, Inc. Announces a New ECPN Journal Publication Series ‘MIST Therapy(R) System - Thoughts on Therapy’

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Celleration is excited to announce the publication of a new educational grant-funded series “MIST Therapy(R) System - Thoughts on Therapy.” The series is designed to provide first-hand experience of clinicians using MIST Therapy in wound care facilities across the country.

The inaugural publication of the new “MIST Therapy(R) System - Thoughts on Therapy” series will appear in the long-term care journal ECPN, the journal of choice for more than 42-thousand extended care professionals across the country.

According to Celleration CEO Kevin Nickels, the goal of the series is to share the experience and insight of clinicians who’ve already had the opportunity to put MIST Therapy into practice and witness its results. Nickels says, “Many times, word of mouth is still the best testament to a product’s effectiveness.”

Kristen Thurman, PT, CWS, is excited to be the first author featured in the MIST Therapy(R) System - Thoughts on Therapy” series. She is the Senior Clinical Manager for Rehabilitation and Wound/Ostomy at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona.

Kristen says, from a patient perspective, “There’s no better therapy than one that is both effective and painless. Our evaluation of MIST Therapy in patients with serious wounds found healing rates were 50% higher than our predicted rates. Based on our evaluation, we highly recommend MIST Therapy for pressure ulcers, vascular wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, and painful wounds.”

Product Description

MIST Therapy is an advanced wound care device that promotes painless healing through cellular stimulation while removing bacteria from the wound.

The MIST Therapy gently bathes the wound in a sterile saline mist. The mist carries gentle ultrasonic waves to the wound site, providing stimulation to the tissue. And perhaps most important to the patient, because the treatment does not involve contact with the skin, it’s painless.

“Every year, six million Americans suffer from wounds that will not heal, many of which are extremely painful and difficult to treat. Sometimes those wounds spawn infection that can put the patient in grave danger,” said Nickels. “It’s exciting to see the scientific evidence continue to demonstrate that MIST Therapy(R) System is an excellent choice for medical professionals treating chronic wounds.”
