National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF), and Andretti Green Racing, Inc. today announced the launch of Racing for Hemophilia, a fundraising program that will benefit the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) and its participating local chapters. Racing for Hemophilia is the first program of its kind for the hemophilia community, and will leverage the popularity of the Indy Racing League (IRL) and the Indianapolis 500(R) Mile Race to raise money and awareness of bleeding and clotting disorders, like hemophilia A. On May 28, 2006, the 90th Indianapolis 500 will feature three generations of the famed Andretti family racing legacy. Patriarch Mario Andretti will be on hand to witness son Michael Andretti's return from a three-year hiatus to race grandson and Michael's son, Marco, for the first time ever. All funds raised during the Racing for Hemophilia program will support the NHF and its participating local chapters.
