Washington Group International Receives Architectural And Engineering Services Contract From Pfizer Global Manufacturing

BOISE, Idaho, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Washington Group International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a three-year architectural and engineering services contract with Pfizer Global Manufacturing for small and large projects located at the client's facilities in Holland and Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Washington Group is one of four firms chosen by Pfizer Global Manufacturing to provide architectural and engineering services for its sites in Michigan.

As part of the agreement, Washington Group Midwest LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Washington Group International, is opening an engineering services office near Pfizer's Kalamazoo facility to provide services to the various Pfizer Global Manufacturing sites. The office, expected to open in early October 2004, will be staffed initially with 40 engineers, validation professionals, and support personnel.

Washington Group's prior services to Pfizer include engineering and construction management projects for facilities in England and Ireland as well as architectural, engineering, and validation assignments for Pfizer research and manufacturing facilities throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
