(IMS) to provide personalized health management solutions to middle market employers focused on adopting breakthrough strategies to manage their healthcare costs.
The offering, available through third party administrators (TPAs), will incorporate I-trax’s unique technology, modeling science capabilities and care communications with IMS’s Multi-Level Managed Care Services to deliver near- term savings to smaller employers and better, high-quality care to employees. America’s Choice Healthplans (ACH) is the first TPA to offer the solution. ACH will be rolling out the solution to its 250,000 covered lives starting with a seminar series in the Houston market on Tuesday, May 11th. This combined solution will enable employers to achieve near-term savings by avoiding costly and unnecessary admissions to emergency departments and hospitalizations. In the medium and longer term, the program generates savings by analyzing life-style and clinical factors for all employees to ensure that individuals receive appropriate life-style management and personalized care plans according to their current or future risk for disease. This will help employees maximize their health and well-being while further enabling employers to better manage their healthcare costs. As part of this solution, I-trax can develop and manage employer sponsored on-site healthcare centers for larger employers or employer coalitions, further impacting healthcare costs and trends.
