HealthAmerica And HealthAssurance Announce Long-Term Relationship With UPMC Hospitals

PITTSBURGH, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance have signed a new long-term agreement with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), continuing their relationship with some of the region’s most well-respected health care facilities and physicians.

The agreement comprises seven hospitals and two outpatient surgery centers including UPMC Horizon (Greenville Hospital and Shenango Valley Hospital), UPMC McKeesport, UPMC Northwest Medical Center (Franklin and Oil City), UPMC Passavant Hospital, UPMC St. Margaret, UPMC Rehabilitation Hospital and Magee- Womens Hospital of UPMC. In addition, HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance have agreed to include two new hospitals, UPMC Southside and UPMC Braddock, in their network.

The agreement also includes the following UPMC physician groups: UPMC Cancer Centers, UPMC Community Medicine, Inc., Womancare Associates of Magee- Womens Hospital, the University of Pittsburgh Physicians and UPMC Emergency Medicine, Inc.
