Dr. David Reim Joins SNBL USA, Ltd. as Director of Laboratory Animal Resources

Recognized for his awareness of trends and issues within the drug development industry and his leadership and management skills, SNBL USA introduces you to Dr. David Reim, our newest management team member.

Everett, WA – June 8, 2009 – SNBL USA is pleased to announce the appointment of David Reim, DVM, MS, DCLAM to the position of Director of Laboratory Animal Resources.

In addition to serving as the Attending Veterinarian, Dr. Reim will be managing Veterinary Services, Environmental Enrichment, Health & Safety, and the Husbandry departments, respectively, and all regulatory oversight related to animal welfare at SNBL USA. Dr. Reim will provide professional leadership in the care and resolution of complex medical cases that arise and provide specialized procedural consultations for Study Sponsors and Study Directors. Dr. Reim brings with him a highly regarded reputation within the industry and significant experience in laboratory animal medicine, pharmaceutical research, and team management. This experience will be essential as SNBL USA continues its growth and maintains its status as one of the nation’s leading preclinical testing companies.

Most recently, Dr. Reim served as Director of Comparative Medicine at Pfizer Global Research and Development in Groton, CT. Since 2005 Dr. Reim has also served as an ad hoc consultant to AAALAC International. Dr. Reim earned his DVM from Tufts University, School of Veterinary Medicine and an MS in Management at the Lally School of Management & Technology. As a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine, Dr. Reim provides SNBL USA a very high level of expertise and experience that will significantly benefit SNBL USA’s animal care and safety study programs.
