NORTHFIELD, Ill., Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The latest on diagnosing various cancers, testing for chronic and infectious diseases, as well as new research findings affecting laboratory medicine will be the focus of CAP ’04 -- the annual meeting of the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The meeting is being held on Sept. 19-22 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix.
Expert pathologists from around the globe will lead educational seminars that provide practical tools, which can be incorporated immediately into pathology practices. Hot topics in medical ethics and breast cancer will be covered, along with new strategies and challenges for dealing with infectious diseases when they strike. Seminars will also be offered in both practice management and informatics.

Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney (2001-2003), and her husband, James Carville, political strategist and former advisor to President Bill Clinton. -- The “Path to the Future in Medicine” program honoring six of the best and brightest high school science students in the greater-Phoenix area.
