Bernard Kerik Elected To MedAire Board Of Directors

TEMPE, Ariz., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Health and security assistance provider MedAire, Inc. (ASX Code: MDE) today announced that shareholders have appointed former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard B. Kerik to the company’s Board of Directors. The vote was held at MedAire’s annual shareholders meeting on May 14th in Tempe, Arizona.

Mr. Kerik is presently the CEO of Giuliani-Kerik, LLC, an international risk management firm. Mr. Kerik formerly served as the 40th Police Commissioner of the City of New York, and as a principal member of Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani’s cabinet overseeing the rescue, recovery and investigation of the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. Mr. Kerik has received over 100 awards for meritorious, heroic and public service during his law enforcement career. Mr. Kerik most recently served as Iraq’s interim Minister of Interior Advisor and as the Senior Policy Advisor to the U.S. Presidential Envoy to Iraq’s Coalition Provisional Authority, appointed by President George Bush. Mr. Kerik holds a BS in Public Administration from Empire State College (SUNY) and has attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

In addition to Mr. Kerik, MedAire also elected Roy A. Herberger, Jr., Terry D. Giles, and James A.C. MacKenzie to its Board of Directors.
