SNBL USA, Ltd. Announces New Leadership Appointments
Everett, WA – December 1, 2009 – SNBL USA, one of the nation’s leading preclinical testing companies, today named Hideshi Tsusaki, DVM, PhD president of SNBL USA, succeeding Steven Meyer, who was named senior executive to SNBL Group and head of SNBL Global Scientific Resources.
With SNBL Group since 1996, Dr. Tsusaki was previously the director of quality control and technical process management and executive advisor to the president at SNBL USA. He spent more than 10 years as a GLP Study Director for general toxicology, developmental and reproductive toxicology, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, and efficacy modeling in various test systems at both SNBL Japan and SNBL USA facilities. Additionally, Dr. Tsusaki has held key positions supporting and facilitating domestic and international corporate strategy across SNBL Group. Based on his experience, Dr. Tsusaki provides SNBL USA a very high level of operational and management experience that will contribute to meet SNBL USA client expectations moving forward.
Steven Meyer joined SNBL USA in 1999 and before his tenure as president began in 2004 he held important leadership positions including director of operations and managing director. In his new role, he will oversee and direct SNBL Group units in Cambodia (2), China, Japan, and Texas as they relate directly to SNBL’s core competency of nonhuman primate safety studies and the resources required to maintain the high quality services offered at all of SNBL’s worldwide facilities. “We are continuing to strengthen our leadership team across the SNBL Group organization, with employees who bring experience and expertise from both within our company and the drug development industry in general,” said Ryoichi Nagata, MD, PhD, president and CEO, SNBL Group. “Dr. Tsusaki’s academic, professional, and corporate experiences will provide SNBL USA an important new dimension that will contribute to our scientific and business expansion priorities.
