Emergent BioSolutions Announces Retirement Of Admiral William J. Crowe From Board Of Directors

GAITHERSBURG, Md., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Emergent BioSolutions Inc. today announced that Admiral William J. Crowe has retired from the Board of Directors. Admiral Crowe, who is 80, has been a director of Emergent BioSolutions and its subsidiary, BioPort Corporation, since 1998.

Admiral Crowe was appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by President Reagan and named as Chairman of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board by President Clinton. From 1994 to 1997, Admiral Crowe served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. In 1998, he chaired the State Department Accountability Review Boards that were established to investigate the bombings of the American Embassies in Africa.
