LifeSource Release: Minnesotan Named Transplant Coordinator Of Excellence

ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Diane Hall, Donation Coordinator with LifeSource, was named the Genzyme Transplant Coordinator of Excellence by the North American Transplant Coordinators Organization (NATCO). The award was presented on August 3 at the NATCO annual meeting in San Francisco.

The Genzyme Transplant Coordinator of Excellence is presented to a clinical and procurement coordinator in the trenches who brings compassion, innovation and dedication to all aspects of his or her profession while providing high quality service. A coordinator is responsible for managing organ and tissue donation cases by working closely with the hospital staff, providing information about donation and support to families in grief, facilitating allocation and surgical recovery of organs, and managing clinical aspects of a donation case.

Diane received this award for her skill and expertise in the job as well as for her leadership in a regional office and her initiative and expansion of her role of donation coordinator including community and professional educator, media representative and public relations contact. Diane Hall is a donation coordinator in the LifeSource Rochester office. She serves as chair of the NATCO Committee on Bylaws and co-chair of LifeSource Neuroadvisory Committee.
