FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Care Choices has appointed Robin D. Kelmenson, MD as Medical Director. In this role he will support the Chief Medical Officer in the implementation and monitoring of quality management programs to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost effective health care services to plan members. He will also directly support and provide clinical leadership to the medical affairs area including medical management, quality management, credentialing and pharmacy.

Most recently, Dr. Kelmenson served as the Executive Medical Director of Medical Consulting Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM). His department supported the company's local and national precertification efforts. He played a key role in multiple successful national accreditation efforts.
Prior to joining BCBSM, Dr. Kelmenson was the Medical Director for MedView Services/CCN in Farmington Hills, and he has over 13 years of experience as a primary care provider in both private practice and HMO settings in the metro Detroit area.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.
Dr. Kelmenson holds a MD degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine and a BS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit and is a lifelong resident of the Detroit metropolitan area.
Dr. Kelmenson resides in West Bloomfield.
