UK -- ApaTech®, the rapidly growing orthobiologics company, has won the bronze award in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 as a result of its outstanding five year sales growth rate of 8,318 per cent.
This award is yet another significant accolade to add to ApaTech’s recent successes. In September 2009 ApaTech came second in the Sunday Times Fast Track and remained Britain’s fastest growing medical technology company for the third successive year. This award sits alongside the Frost & Sullivan award as N American Device Biologics Firm of the Year which it won in March 2009.
ApaTech’s success is founded on Actifuse, a unique silicate substituted calcium phosphate bone graft material which ApaTech manufactures and supplies globally. Actifuse scaffold mimics the body’s natural boney structure and accelerates the growth of high quality bone.
The scientific foundations and ground breaking research behind Actifuse is one of the major factors that separates ApaTech from competitors in the bone grafting market, and from alternative surgical approaches – both old and new. It also underpins the transformational sales growth of the organisation. Simon Cartmell, Chief Executive Officer of ApaTech commented: “Winning awards such as this is always a great testament to the company’s success. One of our core values is ambition andwe’ve now completed a new $13m production facility which will enable us to meet $300m of sales annually, which shows where our ambition lies, so hopefully we will continue to be an ‘ever-present’ in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards for some time to come.”
