Antibiotics appear to be an effective treatment for endometritis, an inflammation of the lining of the uterus, new research suggests. As well as supporting the antimicrobial treatment of subacute endometritis, results of the study indicate that prior pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) as well as current cervical infection are risk factors for endometritis.
