WESTBOROUGH, MA--(Marketwire - January 13, 2011) - IBC Life Sciences is pleased to announce its 21st International Biological Assay & Development conference will take place on May 11-13, 2011 in San Francisco.
This highly practical and technical conference is specially designed for scientists, analysts, assay statisticians and managers who work with biological assays during biotech and biopharmaceutical development or routine product release. Regulatory and Quality Assurance professionals who deal with submitting or overseeing complex assays will also gain much needed insight to successfully deal with biological assays. The conference is perfect for both those who are experienced and new to the bioassay field.
“This year’s IBC bioassay conference really hits the tough issues bioassay scientists face on a daily basis. There is nowhere else one can learn about maintaining/monitoring your assay, qualifying reference materials, good tissue culture practice, USP updates, and hear case studies on all types of biopharmaceutical products in a single venue. I believe attendees will especially appreciate the mix of educational and ‘new frontier’ talks. Attendees will be able to find new ideas and basic training all in one place,” notes conference producer, Laureen Little, Ph.D., Principal Consultant, Quality Services.
The conference will begin with two new full-day, pre-conference workshops taking place on Wednesday, May 11th. Workshop #1 will give the practical aspects of making the bioassay qc ready. Workshop #2 will provide the elements for a successful biological assay transfer.
The main conference program will run from Thursday, May 12th - Friday, May 13th. Industry leaders will present in-depth technical tools, overview of regulatory trends, emerging technologies and multiple product case studies on developing, validating and maintaining the bioassay. Session topics to be covered include bioassays for antibody products, bioassays for biological products, monitoring bioassays, rare reagents and frontiers in binding assays.
