WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Thousands of FED UP! supporters, a grassroots coalition of organizations and families directly impacted by the nation’s opioid addiction epidemic, are descending on the capital Columbus Day weekend to raise awareness of the epidemic’s devastating impact and to demand urgent action from the federal government. Demonstrators are frustrated by recent legislative proposals that fail to make treatment available to all Americans. They will also call attention to the role played by Purdue and other opioid makers in creating the epidemic and blocking efforts to promote more cautious prescribing.
