LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Zynx Health® today announced that it has significantly expanded and updated the publicly accessible COVID-19 clinical decision support available on its website, zynxhealth.com. The latest updates that have been incorporated into the Zynx Health content include recommendations from organizations such as the Infectious Diseases Society of America, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and World Health Organization. Zynx Health’s COVID-19 content, in addition to order sets and care plans, includes guidance on diagnostic testing, admission/discharge criteria, transmission-based precautions, therapy, supportive care, and treatment of special populations including pregnant patients.

A pioneer in electronic clinical decision support, Zynx Health began publishing COVID-19 guidance free of charge on March 18, 2020. The content has since been expanded and refined more than 30 times since as new information on diagnosing, treating, and managing the virus – across the entire continuum of care – has been reviewed and published. The Zynx content has been accessed more than 20,000 times to date.

“Since its inception in 1996, the mission of Zynx Health has been to provide healthcare professionals with vital and necessary information to drive better patient outcomes,” said John Chang, MD, PhD, MPH, FAC, senior vice president and head of the Zynx clinical team. “We recognized in early March 2020 the importance of making our COVID-19 guidance freely available. Since then, the entire Zynx Health clinical team – our physicians, nurses, and pharmacists – has continued to update the content as soon as information from trusted resources becomes available. This model fully aligns with Zynx Health’s mission of helping to ensure that healthcare professionals have access to the most recent and best available information for hundreds of conditions ranging from abdominal aortic aneurysm to wound care.”
