QUEBEC, April 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Victhom Human Bionics Inc., (“Victhom” (TSX: VHB - News)), announces that Mr. Benoit Huet is leaving his position with the Company, effective today, April 4, 2008, as agreed with the Board of Directors. The Chairman of the Board, Mr. Daniel Johnson, thanked Mr. Huet for his contribution to the business during his tenure.
Acting President
The Board of Directors of Victhom has asked Mr. Normand Rivard, current Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to serve as acting President of the Company while the Company embarks on a search for a new President and CEO. Mr. Rivard has also been appointed to the Board.
Over the last ten years, Mr. Rivard has acquired a broad range of expertise in the management and financing of private and public high technology companies. He has shown himself to be a dynamic and results-oriented leader with a strong track record in managing complex projects such as mergers and acquisitions, public company financing and restructuring from the planning phase to successful completion. Mr. Rivard joined Victhom in September 2006.
Victhom seeks a President and CEO
Victhom is now seeking to recruit a President and CEO to take the Company to its next development stage, as it increasingly becomes an innovative player as an international medical devices company. “We are seeking a senior executive experienced in the life sciences industry, with an emphasis on candidates who have interests, capabilities and networks relevant to the emerging field of medical devices”, stated the Chairman of the Board. “Special attention will be given to those offering novel approaches and insights into these new and attractive markets”, he added.
