H&P said Eamonn Vize, a 20-year veteran of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, has been hired as chief operating officer.

H&P has recalled a number of products since December 2010, including two because of bacterial contamination. A Texas couple sued Triad, H&P’s distribution affiliate, because they believe one of its alcohol wipes caused the bacterial infection that killed their 2-year-old son, according to media reports.
“Eamonn’s experience in dealing with the FDA while at Abbott and his strong operational skills will provide tremendous value to our company as we continue our road to recovery,” said Eric Haertle, H&P president.
Vize has performed and managed a variety of projects including supervising multiple facility start-ups. His experience includes appointments to lead task force projects and FDA pre-approval inspection teams, H&P said in a press release.
