TransEnterix, Inc. (NYSE MKT: TRXC), a medical device company that is pioneering the use of robotics and flexible instruments to improve minimally invasive surgery, today announced the appointment of William N. Kelley, M.D. to serve on its Board of Directors. The appointment will be effective January 1, 2015, and increases the size of the TransEnterix Board of Directors to nine members. The Board of Directors determined that Dr. Kelley is an independent director.
