Thermo Fisher Scientific Announces New Laboratory Ovens for Industrial Applications

MILFORD, Mass. (November 6, 2008) - Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, has introduced its Thermo Scientific Lindberg™ Blue M ovens, which enable precise temperature control for advanced sample protection in industrial applications. Available with mechanical or gravity convection, the new ovens are designed to meet all standard heating and drying needs. Thermo Scientific Lindberg Blue M products are UL/cUL certified (U.S. only) and offer a two-year warranty. Available in three sizes, all models are easy-to-clean due to a corrosion-resistant stainless steel interior. Lindberg Blue M ovens have a variety of sophisticated technologies to ensure temperature uniformity throughout the chamber for superior sample integrity in high-end applications.

The Thermo Scientific Lindberg Blue M performance oven models are available with either gravity or mechanical convection with a temperature range from 50°C to 275oC. The gravity convection ovens enable gentle drying without air turbulence, which is typically used when drying powders and granulates. Lindberg Blue M ovens with mechanical convection enable fast and efficient heat treatment with extremely precise temperature control. These ovens are ideal for applications such as material aging, shelf-life testing or moisture determination.

Deluxe models of the Lindberg Blue M ovens, which also include all the features and benefits of the performance models, are designed with features such as programmable temperature controllers for complex heating processes and enhanced user and sample safety. Because deluxe models use advanced mechanical convection, they can also operate at temperatures as high as 325oC. These models are ideal for any defined drying and heating processes that require temperature sequencing and ramping or extremely accurate temperature maintenance, such as quality control and sample testing.
