ROCKVILLE, MD--(Marketwire - January 04, 2012) -

The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM), Maryland’s largest technology trade association, announced today that Brian Levine was promoted to vice president of government relations. Levine, who was previously TCM’s senior director of government relations, will continue to lead the association’s advocacy and policy development efforts in Annapolis and Washington, D.C.

“Brian has been a key member of TCM’s government relations team for six years, and was instrumental in driving several of the most successful and high-profile tech and biotech initiatives affecting Maryland businesses in recent years, including the Tech Tax Repeal efforts and development of the Biotech Tax Credit and Research and Development Tax Credit,” said Larry Letow, chairman and acting CEO of TCM. “Most importantly, Brian understands the issues impacting our members and knows how to navigate the Maryland General Assembly and Congress so they take notice.”

Levine is part of TCM’s senior management team, which includes Michelle Ferrone, senior vice president of marketing and operations, and David Levy, vice president of finance.
