Syngene: World’s Simplest to Use Chemiluminescent Imaging Systems

Frederick, MD: Syngene, a world-leading manufacturer of image analysis solutions, is proud to introduce its new G:BOX iChemi range of intelligent chemiluminescent imaging systems. These systems are designed for fully automated set up, allowing both novice and experienced molecular biologists to rapidly produce the best results from any chemiluminescent blot.

The new range of four G:BOX iChemi chemiluminescent imaging systems contain a high-resolution 16 bit, CCD camera with intelligent control software specifically for chemiluminescence and low level light emitting samples. Unlike many chemiluminescence imaging systems, the G:BOX iChemi’s processor assesses the sample, sets its own exposure time and sensitivity and auto-scales the captured image. Using these innovative features users can produce high quality images with perfect contrast, without any of the guess work or trial and error imaging usually associated with capturing images of chemiluminescent blots.

Additionally, for those users wanting total automation of their imaging, Syngene has introduced on the G:BOX iChemi XT and XL models computer controlled lens that moves simultaneously with the motorized sample stage. This ensures the systems can quickly focus to produce perfectly in-focus initial blot images time after time, with minimum user intervention. Paula Maia, Syngene’s Vice President of Sales, Syngene US commented: “Capturing the optimum images of chemiluminescent blots can often be very daunting as there are so many variables for detecting faint bands.”

Paula continued: “At Syngene, we have listened to researchers to determine which steps they find difficult or confusing when trying to obtain chemiluminescent blot images. Then we have utilized our extensive expertise to automate these processes. The result is the revolutionary G:BOX iChemi chemiluminescent imaging systems, which are must-have tools for scientists that want easy set up and accurate results but don’t want to have to become CCD imaging experts to enjoy these benefits.”
