OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 22, 2008) - Spartan Bioscience Inc., a Canadian molecular diagnostics company that develops, manufactures, and markets DNA analyzers for on-demand applications, today announced a significant strategic partnership with Maryland-based TrimGen Corporation. Under an MOU (memorandum of understanding) framework between the companies, TrimGen will develop real-time PCR reagents and kits optimized to run on the Spartan DX™ device and Spartan will distribute TrimGen products in Canada. This will provide Spartan customers with one-stop-shopping for their on-demand real-time PCR (polymerase chain reaction) requirements.
