Sun Journal -- The Sheraton hotel in downtown New Bern will become a Hilton franchise within a few months. Owen Parker, general manager of the Sheraton New Bern Hotel and Marina, said Thursday that hotel owner Soleil Group Inc. did not renew its existing franchise agreement because it wanted to “step up” to the Hilton brand.
