Roche Diagnostics CEO Stands Down

ZURICH, Dec 14 (Reuters) - Drug maker Roche Holding AG (ROG.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Wednesday that Heino von Prondzynski, chief executive of its second business unit, diagnostics, had stood down and would be replaced by an internal candidate. Von Prondzynski had decided to retire in the course of the next year to pursue personal interests, the firm said in a statement. His replacement, Severin Schwan, is an Austrian and currently head of the unit’s Asia-Pacific business.
