Corbett Accel - New York will now be known as Surge Worldwide Healthcare Communications, and Carleen Kelly will continue to serve as its president. Corbett Accel - Chicago returns to its namesake as Corbett Worldwide Healthcare Communications, and Elaine Eisen continues to provide leadership as its president. Both business units focus on healthcare professional advertising and communications.
“We are two years ahead of our strategic growth plan,” said Scott D. Cotherman, chief executive officer of Corbett Accel Healthcare Group. “This is an exciting time for us. Both business units are experiencing a burst in new business opportunities from existing clients and prospects. The name changes are occurring at the behest of several of these companies to eliminate confusion between the identities of our advertising business units. These advancements enable each agency to continue thriving as independent operations within our corporation.”
Surge captures the high-intensity drive and commitment to market-moving ideas characteristic of the New York advertising business unit.
“Carleen and her team have relentlessly driven brand stewardship initiatives for their clients, which has led to many incremental growth opportunities,” Cotherman said. “Surge has created an energetic ‘culture of action,’ which can be attributed directly to the agency’s growth of more than 50 percent over the past year. Carleen’s team applies a skillful balance of marketing know-how and creative expertise to consistently generate strong bursts of life for both new and existing brands.”
“The name change more accurately conveys the level of energy our team brings to client brands,” noted Carleen Kelly. “When there is an urgency to grow the brand, we move quickly to achieve client and brand objectives. We succeed because we have built a staff including some of the best talent in New York, operating within -- and committed to -- a unique culture steeped in shared values and expectations.”
The Chicago-based advertising agency, Corbett, has built a strong reputation not only for aggressive new business growth, but also for organic growth from existing relationships, which include the two longest-tenured clients in the company, one dating back to the original agency founding 43 years ago.
“Clients continue to value Corbett for its market-moving ideas,” said Cotherman. “More than any other agency, Corbett brings together the best of both the health professional and consumer advertising worlds for their clients. This group strategically teams individuals with consumer expertise with those most experienced in pharmaceutical brand building. The result is creative that is distinctive in concept, strategically sound and highly effective in the marketplace, making Corbett a destination agency for enlightened clients.”
“We have received countless accolades about our creative, so it was only a matter of time before this recognition translated into new opportunities,” added Elaine Eisen. “Our clients want high-impact creative that will resonate with physicians and patients to rapidly drive brand growth. Corbett constantly delivers on those objectives.”
While the names of the agencies are new, the commitment to talent development and cultural values are not. “Corporate-wide, we continue to focus our efforts on attracting, developing and retaining top talent to service blue-chip healthcare clients and high-potential specialty companies in support of their market-leading brands,” Cotherman said. “Our belief is that top talent produces market-moving ideas that build enduring client relationships. Corporate-wide, our primary objective is to help our clients build bigger and more successful brands, faster.”
