AXIA uses proprietary hydraulic piston compression (patent pending) technology that eliminates the variability in the manufacture and packing of these preparative HPLC columns and produces more robust and durable final products.
Initially offered in lengths of 50, 75 and 100millimeters, the new longer AXIA 21.2 ID columns enable customers to triple their sample load in the scale-up process. They are ideal for preparative purification applications such as drug discovery and development, fine chemicals and pesticides.
"AXIA is completely unique in the preparative LC arena," explained JT Presley, brand manager for Phenomenex. "Now when our customers need to scale up their methods, they can move into the long columns for a fast and efficient solution."
