BEDMINSTER, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: NPSP) today reported its financial results for the first quarter of 2008. Revenues increased to $25.2 million for the first quarter of 2008, as compared to $10.0 million for the first quarter of 2007. Operating expenses decreased to $20.1 million for the first quarter of 2008 as compared to $25.9 million for the first quarter of 2007. The company’s net loss was $13.1 million for the first quarter of 2008, or $0.28 per diluted share, versus a net loss of $21.1 million, or $0.45 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2007.
