City Council members voted on Thursday in support of awarding a $1.75 million grant to the San Antonio Economic Development Corp. The nonprofit corporation, created by the city in 2010 to pursue economic development opportunities, will invest the funds over a three-year period to help establish a new medical device company, Covalor Medical LLC.
The corporation will secure an ownership interest in Covalor Medical, which will establish its headquarters in San Antonio.
