METTLER TOLEDO celebrates 50 years of providing Swiss quality in Thermal Analysis products. We are pleased to introduce the TGA/DSC 2 featuring the latest in technology from the world-wide leader in laboratory weighing solutions, XP micro- and XPU ultra-microbalances. In the last two decades, we have proudly provided the only thermogravimetric analyzer on the market that can measure up to 50 million resolution points continuously down to 0.1 µg for a 5 gram sample weight. Since a manual weight range change is not required when switching between small and large sample sizes, a wide variety of sample types can be measured in succession without user intervention, generating productivity increases with time savings.
Guaranteed Reproducible Results
As a standard qualification test, the unique MinWeigh determination takes the environment in which a balance is located into account. As a result, the thermobalance installed in the TGA/DSC 2 delivers repeatability at least two times better than competitive thermogravimetric analyzers. MinWeigh provides confidence that measurement uncertainty of weighing results on the lower end of the balance capacity, where many users typically perform measurements, are within defined and known limits. The improved thermostating of the balance contributes to excellent weighing performance and precise temperature control, even when in close proximity to a high temperature furnace. This guarantees reproducible results - independent of changing environmental workplace conditions.
TGA/DSC 2 is now available with various TGA, DTA and DSC sensors with optimized balance beams, resulting in better baseline quality and simultaneous heat flow results at temperatures from ambient to 1100 °C or 1600 °C. All of these new features enable complete thermal analysis in a single-step process, opening up the application range to new possibilities.
