Merck KGaA To Cut 100 Jobs In German Pharma Business By End Of 2010

FRANKFURT (AFX) - Merck KGaA said it is to cut one-fifth of its workforce in Germany in the coming four years as part of a restructuring programme following its acquisition of Swiss biotech company Serono SA. The company confirmed that it is to cut 100 of the pharma division's 500 workers by the end of 2010.
