HOUSTON, /PRNewswire/ -- Joycare Pediatric Day Health Center announced today the appointment of its first CEO, Micah Grossman. Mr. Grossman will drive all growth and expansion initiatives while working to develop and promote operational efficiencies.

Joycare Pediatric Day Health Center is one of the first Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Centers (PPECC) in Texas and the first PPECC in the greater Houston area. Joycare is a freestanding, privately-owned entity serving the medically-fragile pediatric population, providing an alternative to the children’s home health care setting.

Driven by a staff of qualified and experienced professionals, Joycare’s mission is to provide an optimum care experience exceeding industry standards. The care team leverages established treatment approaches while also developing new care standards to ensure patients’ needs are served. Joycare’s patients enjoy a wonderful, stimulating experience that inspires them to gain the most out of each day while enriching their lives with rewarding social interaction.

Mr. Grossman has over 20 years of operational and leadership experience. For the past 5 ½ years, he served as the CEO of Hamilton Vein Center, a multi-unit vein and vascular medical practice with locations throughout South Central Texas (acquired by Nobilis Health in 2017). He has guided several early phase businesses through rapid growth and eventual acquisition.

“Micah is an important and critical addition to our management team,” said founder Cottichia Burke. “He brings an impeccable track record of leadership and helping new organizations grow and scale. This is exactly the type of experience and business sense we need to support and drive our strategic objectives to serve the medically fragile pediatric patient population statewide.”

“The opportunity to serve the medically fragile pediatric population as Houston’s only Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center is truly exciting,” said Mr. Grossman. “We provide comprehensive care for these children during the day Mondays thru Fridays, allowing the children to socialize with similar kids and participate in daily life-enriching activities. As another insurance-covered service, even including coverage for transportation, PPECC services allow our patients to share prescribed care hours with their home health provider thus creating flexibility and care options for the families.”

Joycare will host an open house and rodeo event on March 9th from Noon to 3 P.M. at its center on 6440 Sands Point Drive. To attend the event or schedule a tour, please call us at 713.929.2273 (CARE). And for more information about Joycare, please visit www.joycarekids.com.
