October 07, 2011 -- Staff at Almac's headquarters in Craigavon are swapping their usual workwear for their jeans this Friday, October 7, on Jeans for Genes Day. By making a donation to the national charity, Jeans for Genes, staff are helping to fund research into a wide range of genetic disorders which affect around one in 25 children born in the UK. Almac is keen to support the charity’s work as its scientists are carrying out extensive genetic research into conditions including cancer to make significant advances in the field of personalised medicine.
