Implants May Help Prevent Repeat Teen Pregnancies, University of Colorado Study

Up to half of teens and young women who give birth are pregnant again within a year -- but a new study suggests giving new moms a contraceptive implant before they leave the hospital the first time around can help prevent those repeat pregnancies.
