NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J., March 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- HENRY The Dentist (HENRY) announced the closing of a $10 million Series A financing, led by Forerunner Ventures, to expand its fleet of mobile dental practices to companies in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York and additional states across the US. The funding will be used to accelerate growth of new vehicles to meet the demand from companies and patients for HENRY’s services. Kirsten Green joins the Board of Directors of HENRY. Existing investors Brand Foundry and Trail Mix Ventures also participated in the financing. The group of investors shares the management teams’ view that healthcare delivery is shifting towards a more patient-centric model of care.
HENRY currently services over 70 of the most respected global companies - including ADP, Merck, Vonage, Audible, and CNBC - who are all committed to employee wellness and improved access to healthcare, solving a massive problem for businesses and patients. Research has shown that 36% of Americans have not gone to the dentist in over a year, leading to later-stage healthcare costs and complications. Every $1 spent on preventative healthcare saves $8 to $50 in later-stage care. The primary reasons cited for not using benefits is the inconvenience of finding and going to an in-network dentist as well as the fear that many patients feel about annual checkups.
