Gentris Corporation Seeks FDA OK For Test Control Product

Gentris Corp. said Thursday it has filed an application with the Food and Drug Administration to market a product used as a control in tests to determine if patients will react adversely to a number of commonly used drugs. The Morrisville-based firm said it has completed its FDA marketing application for six of its Human Genomic DNA Reference Controls for CYP2D6, a liver enzyme used in the metabolism of approximately 20 percent of all commonly prescribed drugs.
