Environmental Tectonics Corporation Launches Hyperbaric Chamber At Orlando Meeting

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation (“ETC” or the “Company”) today announced the successful launch of the latest generation of its award-winning BARA-MED(R) family of hyperbaric chambers. The BARA-MED(R) XD was unveiled for the hyperbaric medicine community at the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando, Florida on June 21, 2006.

The BARA-MED(R) XD uses the successful and reliable fourth generation of ETC’s BARAPress - Hyperbaric Chamber Control Software. It also features multiple facilities for patient monitoring and support with new and advanced entertainment and patient communications systems. This special hyperbaric chamber is unique because of its spacious 34-inch inside diameter, a passive bariatric relief mattress, and space for a gurney and litter capable of holding a 700-pound patient.

William F. Mitchell, ETC’s President and Chairman, said, “We are extremely pleased with the technological lead provided by this product and the market response to the BARA-MED(R) XD. The features provided are intended to allow medical staff to focus on the patient care aspects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) and not on the distracting issues of hyperbaric chamber control, record-keeping, and management.”

ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems, public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers.
