BOSTON, MA, ISSUED MAY 13, 2019…Ed Evarts, leadership development coach, management consulting for 3D Leadership Group (http://3dleadershipgroup.com), a Boston-based leadership development firm, recently presented at MAGI’s Clinical Research Conference – 2019 East, which was held May 5-8 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel in Boston.

Model Agreements & Guidelines International (MAGI) is streamlining clinical research by standardizing best practices for clinical operations, business, and regulatory compliance. The 2019 East Conference featured more than 100 sessions and workshops set within six tracks: clinical operations and project management, site management, contracts, budgets and billing, regulatory compliance, and special topics. Over 800 attended the conference.

Evarts addressed Career Management and Leadership Development, paying special attention to how leaders can develop their people and build a successful career for themselves, and focusing on management and “soft” skills as well as the role of teams. He was joined in this discussion by Ali Sonel, chief of staff, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System; Alyson Roeding, director of clinical research, St. Elizabeth Healthcare; and Rachele Peterson, executive director, All of Us Research Program, University of Arizona Health Sciences.

With over 30 years of innovative leadership and management experience, Evarts possesses the ability to build awareness, create action, and deliver results. He has partnered with key leaders in biotechnology and healthcare (among other industries), including Avecia, Biogen, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Johnson & Johnson, Partners Healthcare, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Evarts is also the author of the new book, Raise Your Visibility & Value: Uncover the Lost Art of Connecting on the Job, focusing on seven visibility accelerators that help business professionals become more visible and valuable in their organizations and industry.

“MAGI’s Clinical Research Conference offers a great opportunity to collaborate and invest in professional development, especially for an industry that sometimes easily overlooks the importance of these kinds of discussions,” said Evarts. “What we’ve found, of course, is the most successful organizations and individuals, within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries in particular, are the ones who put their energy into these initiatives as well. It was a pleasure to talk more about the softer skills along with my esteemed partner speakers.”
