WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dynogen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. reported positive results of its randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1b trial of DDP733 for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The study was designed to demonstrate proof-of-concept for DDP733 as a treatment for nocturnal GERD (NGERD). The 0.5 mg dose of DDP733 achieved statistical significance over placebo on the primary endpoint of reduction in the number of reflux events and was safe and well tolerated. Dynogen is planning to initiate a Phase 2 study of DDP733 in GERD patients in 2008.
