CONCORD, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dolbey, a leader in healthcare dictation, transcription, speech and coding products, unveils a new speech recognition product at the Medical Transcription Industry Alliance conference in Long Beach, California on April 24, 2008. This product, called Voice2Text™, is specifically designed for the medical transcription service industry and offers the productivity enhancements of back-end speech without requiring a change to the document management platform used by the service company.
In the market today, nearly all other solutions that offer back-end speech recognition do require wide changes in a company’s document management platform to adopt the technology. These other platforms have applied the speech technology to a transcription document system product which must be adopted to utilize the speech tools. Voice2Text is unique in that the speech recognition has been integrated with Dolbey’s Fusion Voice digital dictation system and provides simple, yet functional integration to a company’s existing document platform. Voice2Text allows a company to continue utilizing the document management system they already own to create reports, distribute reports, count lines, perform QA, billing and payroll while capturing the advantage of the 25%-80% increase in transcriptionist’s productivity offered by back-end speech.
This non-invasive approach to applying back-end speech is uniquely being offered in a pay-as-you-go model to minimize upfront investment. The Voice2Text add-on to Fusion Voice digital dictation is powered by the industry recognized leading speech engine, Philips SpeechMagic, from Royal Philips Electronics.
