diaDexus will offer U.S.-based clinicians attending the
American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions 2006
the opportunity to take a complimentary PLAC test, a
simple blood test that measures lipoprotein-associated
phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2), an important new marker of
inflammation associated with heart disease and stroke due
to plaque rupture. diaDexus representatives will perform
blood draws on-site, and the results will be available
within about seven days. Members of the media also may
obtain a complimentary PLAC test by stopping by the
diaDexus booth.
